  1. Do you do computer controlled Sensory Rooms?

    Answer

    No... we do even better! We have iPad control and switching. Our Switch4 (S4) Control system allows control of individual items of equipment as well as harnessing them together or as an entire environment

    Imagine being able to control a bubble via a traditional switch or set up the bubble tube's interactivity via an iPad and then make the iPad THE Switch for the child or adult to use!

  2. Do you provide a guarantee on your products and rooms?

    Answer

    Yes! Everything is guaranteed for 12 months (against normal wear and tear). We also provide an ongoing Maintenance service to suit your individual needs.

    As part of any investment in Sensory equipment, or an entire Sensory, Soft Play or Sensory Integration environment, there should always be planning for Maintenance and Training.

    If you plan and schedule competent servicing, Sensory equipment will provide years of opportunity and enjoyment for your children or adults and ensure the maximum return on your investment.

    Many organisations are able to share best practice and train colleagues internally. However, Mike Ayres Design offer a range of Sensory Training packages; from 1-2 hour Technical 'Refreshers' (which can be delivered alongside Maintenance) or Full or Multiple Day course in association with our Training Associates.

  3. Do you provide maintenance?

    Answer

    Yes! Offering you peace of mind and ensuring an outstanding service.

    Mike Ayres Design has its own full time maintenance staff, all of who are experienced, DBS checked and CSCS accredited. 

    But, don't worry if you've inherited or purchased a room from another company, Mike Ayres Design will also work to support environments of any age and/or supplied by a different manufacturer.

  4. Do you sell to countries other than the UK?

    Answer

    Yes we do!

    We are selective in appointing International Associates to ensure all of our products and their customers are supported.

    International Associates are supported and can help advise you on purchases and the considerations of any space you are considering. As required, Mike Ayres Design will also support these Associates on specific projects.

    For countries where there is not an appointed Associate we will work with your directly. However, our Shop will not accept International Orders because of the complexities and variables of Shipping Costs. These can be calculated on a customer by customer basis, so please don't hesitate to contact us.

  5. How often do I need to clean my Bubble Tube?

    Answer

    We recommend emptying your Bubble Tube (or Bubble Wall) every 6 weeks and refilling it with fresh, clean water.

    If you have a build up of algae, then you can clean it with a mild solution or sterilising fluid, then rinse out throughly and refill with fresh, clean water. You may consider using a BCB Water Treatment which can help suppress the build up of bacteria.

    However, changing the water will always be required.

  6. What areas of the country do you install rooms?

    Answer

    From Inverness to Jersey, and everywhere in between! We've been installing rooms across the whole country since the Multi-Sensory concept arrived in the UK.

    All customers receive the same care and attention and our vast experience helps us ensure we allow sufficient site time for all projects, whether they are in Cornwall or Cumbria. Mike Ayres Design's success and longevity is built on reputation and the confidence our customers have in recommending us to their peers and colleagues. 

    You can be assured of objective, empathetic advice, pioneering innovation and unrivalled quality in both manufacture and installation wherever you are in the country.

    We only use our own staff to conduct our Installations. All of our teams are DBS checked and CSCS qualified to provide you with peace of mind and the assurance of the most competent installation of your equipment possible. Our team members are all experienced in working in sensitive areas too and will always adapt to the circumstances of the day.

    And we don't stop there! Mike Ayres Design has been involved directly, and via Associates, in projects across Europe, in North and Central America, Asia and Africa too.

  7. Who does your installations?

    Answer

    We only ever use our own professional installation engineers all of whom are DBS checked and CSCS qualified to ensure all work is conducted safely and competently. Here at Mike Ayres Design no compromise on quality is accepted, and that goes for our installations too!

    The Mike Ayres Design installation teams are also involved in the manufacture of equipment, so not only do they understand the equipment inside and out they are exceptional craftspeople too. 

    All electrical work is all certificated for added peace of mind.
