If you undertake training before you have your room or equipment it can help you to see the potential and decide exactly what is appropriate for your pupils and clients. If you do training after, it will enable everyone to get the fullest use and value for your facilities.

Multi-sensory training with Hirstwood Training

Training can include:
  • Principals of multi-sensory work across a broad range of disciplines and needs for all ages
  • Available equipment, its uses and care
  • Developing a sensory curriculum
  • Sensory work for specific needs such as, visual impairment, behavioural needs, autism, children and adults with profound and multiple learning difficulties
  • Use within inclusive education and mainstream schools
  • Practical and hands-on work with pupils and adults
Courses range from half day, one day, up to 5 days of training in a single course, or as an on-going programme over a period of time. Costs vary depending on the course and locality.

Soundbeam Training

Training can include:
  • Basic assembly and operation of the system
  • Understanding the control and working pre-programmed set-ups
  • Creative use of the soundbeam
  • Creating and saving original work
  • Advanced use of the soundbeam including the switchbox, soundbox and other complimentary equipment
Courses range from half day, one day and two days in Bristol, at your school or centre, or weekend residential courses. Costs vary depending on the course and locality.
