The Science

MohDoh combines three therapeutic elements, proven to produce positive results: aromatherapy, play therapy and colour therapy. It is these three elements that make MohDoh such a powerful holistic therapy.

Play Therapy

Through the use of play and arts and crafts techniques, chronic, mild and moderate psychological and emotional conditions can be alleviated. These conditions can cause behavioural problems and/or prevent children from realising their full potential.

Aromatherapy

Aromatherapy treatments are effective in dealing with minor ailments, skin problems and in particular stress or emotional difficulties. It is a valuable preventative therapy which keeps us well balanced emotionally and physically, reducing the chances of a serious illness occurring. Colour Therapy

Colour therapy is a holistic and non-intrusive form of healing, which introduces the optimum balance of colour energies into the human organism in order to promote harmony between the body, mind and spirit. Colour has a profound effect on us on all levels: physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. If our energy centres (Chakras) become blocked or depleted, then our body cannot function properly and this, in turn, can lead to a variety of problems. Using the colours of the spectrum, colour therapy aims to balance and enhance our body’s energy centres (Chakras) and also to help stimulate our body’s own healing process.

Breathe is an effective yet fun way of dealing with hay-fever symptoms, coughs, colds and breathing difficulties. Mould the dough to vapourise and inhale the carefully selected essential oils, while the special colour of Breathe helps to soothe and nurture breathing. Calm - (Time Out)

Calm is an effective yet fun way of helping to relax and unwind those minds and bodies that are constantly on the go. Are We There Yet? - (Travel)

Are We There Yet? - (Travel) is an effective yet fun way to help treat sea, car or air travel sickness. 40 Winks - (Sleep)

40 Winks - (Sleep) is an effective yet fun way of dealing with restlessness, insomnia or childhood sleep problems. Q: How long will my MohDoh last?

A: IMPORTANT: MohDoh is a water-based modelling dough and it will quickly dry out if left exposed to the air; the aroma of the oils will also fade.

Mohdoh has an unopened shelf life of approximately 18 months. Always store MohDoh in a cool, dark place. Once opened, MohDoh has an expected life of approximately 30 ten minute uses. It will dry more quickly if used for longer than ten minutes at a time. MohDoh must be returned to its original pot immediately after use, the lid closed firmly and completely and the pot returned to a cool, dark place. MohDoh MUST be kept in its original container at all times when not in use. (If the pot is lost or damaged any suitably sized air-tight container can be used.) Partially dried dough can be refreshed by a few seconds ONLY in a microwave. A VERY LIGHT misting with a fine water spray followed by kneading the dough can also be used to refresh partially dried MohDoh, but the surface must not be wetted as the dough structure will break down. NEVER add new oils to the dough as the oils used in MohDoh have been carefully selected and measured to ensure the maximum benefits are received. Q: How safe is MohDoh?

A: MohDoh is non-toxic and complies with the EN71 standard.
Children under three should be supervised.
Some people may have allergies to certain oils, so care should be taken.
All our essential oils have the ECOCERT guarantee. All oils are pure oils and no artificial fragrances are used. NEVER add new oils to the dough. The essential oils have been carefully selected and blended in calculated amounts to treat specific ailments. Adding additional oils can be dangerous. The dough is NOT tested on animals.

Q: What is MohDoh?

Q: What are the benefits of using aromatherapy with children?

A: Aromatherapy is the practice of using volatile plant oils, including essential oils, for psychological and physical wellbeing. It’s also great for children, unobtrusive, easy to administer, versatile, produces no damaging side effects and its benefits have been proven through thousands of years of use.

Q: Is MohDoh safe for my child to use?

A: MohDoh is totally safe for use with adults and children but, as with many products, we advise that children under three are not left to use MohDoh unsupervised. The aromatherapy oils used in each mohdoh product have been carefully controlled to ensure MohDoh is both safe and effective. MohDoh is non-toxic, complies with EN71 and uses only the purest natural essential oils, which all carry the ECOCERT certification.
